Together with collaborators from US and Israel, prof. Daniel Gryko published a paper entitled “Breaking the Linear Scaling Relations for the Oxygen Reduction Reaction with a Dual-Atom Catalyst Composed of a MnFe-Porphyrrole Aerogel”. The key discovery is centered on the bimetallic structure enhances oxygen reduction reaction activity through Mn─Fe synergy and high active site density. Fuel cell tests show over a 30% increase in peak power density, with DFT calculations confirming metal–metal charge transfer as the source of improved performance.
