In the article, the authors examine, among others dependence of the quantity of discovered chemical compounds on the number of types of reactions (old, well-known and new, more complicated ones) as a function of time, popularity of the reaction type and their complexity based on an algorithm extracting generalized patterns of reaction classes. These analyses are useful in the context of computer-assisted synthesis, machine learning, and also for identifying erroneous entries in reaction databases.
