The most-read article in March 2020 in the European Journal of Organic Chemistry is the publication by Dr Maciej Giedyk entitled: “A Retrosynthetic Approach for Photocatalysis” – https://chemistry-europe.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/hub/journal/10990690/most-accessed

The publication concerns the use of photochemical processes in organic synthesis. Despite their popularity, photochemistry and photoredox catalysis are not regular parts of the bachelor and master curriculum of chemistry education and, as a consequence, are not widely used in practice. The article systematizes the knowledge about specific processes taking place during photocatalysis. It discusses the availability of the catalysts and reagents as well as the functional group tolerance of the appropriate method.

Congratulations and we wish you all the success!
