Golden transistors

The team led by prof. Bartosz Grzybowski (IOC PAS and Korean UNIST) and the team of prof. Yonga Yana (University of the Chinese Academy of Sciences) showed how to make transistors from metal nanoparticles – more precisely from gold nanoparticles stuck to ligands with the appropriate electric charge. The following arguments for potential new applications of the transistor are its simplicity of manufacture, durability in high humidity conditions and flexibility of the resulting device.
