Assoc. Prof. Marcin Górecki awarded the Minister of Science and Higher Education Prize
On 20 February 2026, a ceremonial Polish Science Gala was held at the Polish Theatre in Warsaw on the occasion of Polish Science Day.
In the presence of the Minister of Science, the President of the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAN), representatives of the government, executive agencies of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, local authorities, as well as rectors of universities and directors of research institutes, outstanding scientists were honored. Their achievements set directions for the country’s development and strengthen its position on the international stage.
Awards were granted in five categories: lifetime achievement, scientific activity, teaching, implementation, and organizational activity. This emphasized that Polish science today is not only a source of pride, but above all a strategic driving force for a modern, competitive, and sustainable future.
Among the laureates recognized for significant achievements in scientific activity is Assoc. Prof. Marcin Górecki.
