An article by Prof. Bartosz Grzybowski Group in the Journal of the American Chemical Society

29 January 2021

Prof. Bartosz Grzybowski and co-workers proposed a new concept for carrying out catalytic reactions using functionalized nanoparticles. Self-assembling organic ligands on the surface of nanoparticles can create “active sites” allowing for tight control of catalytic units. Such a reaction environment also influences the process of preorganization of the reactants, which guarantees a highly selective course of the conducted reactions. Research carried out in the group of Prof. Grzybowski is financed by the National Science Center – the “Maestro” grant.
