Dr Aleksandra Wierzba and Dr Michał Ociepa, from team XV led by Prof. Dorota Gryko, became laureates of the Bekker programme. Financial resources are granted by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange NAWA. The aim of the Bekker programme is to increase the international mobility of Polish scientists by enabling them to conduct scientific research or teaching in recognized research centers around the world. The scholarship allows establishing long-term cooperation with eminent scientists from abroad and creating valuable postdoctoral internships. Dr Aleksandra Wierzba will be able to go to The University of Colorado Boulder (https://palmerlab.colorado.edu) while Dr Michał Ociepa will go to The Scripps Research Institute (https://baranlab.org).
