Center for Quantum Digital Organic Memristors

Project leader: prof. Daniel T. Gryko

The Institute of Organic Chemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences is implementing the project “Center for Quantum Digital Organic Memristors (CKCOM)”, co-funded by the European Union under the European Funds for a Modern Economy 2021–2027 (FENG) programme, Measure 2.1 International Research Agendas (MAB) implemented by the Foundation for Polish Science (FNP).

Project objective

The aim of the project is to develop a new generation of molecular memristors based on quantum proton tunneling, enabling energy-efficient data storage and processing. These solutions may find applications in nanoelectronics, neuromorphic computing, and future artificial intelligence technologies.

Tasks and activities

The project includes research and development activities such as:

Target groups

The project is addressed to the scientific community (researchers, PhD students and early-career scientists) as well as to the high-tech sector, particularly companies operating in nanoelectronics, advanced computing technologies and artificial intelligence.

Project outcomes

The project will result in the development of innovative molecular memory technologies, scientific publications, patent applications with commercialization potential, and strengthened collaboration between academia and industry.
