Human Resources Strategy for Researchers
IOC PAS works towards excellent working conditions for researchers
Institute of Organic Chemistry PAS is willing to participate in the European initiative Human Resources Strategy for Researchers (HRS4R). The initiative aims to raise awareness for the working conditions of researchers, and to encourage research organizations throughout Europe to comply with the principles outlined in the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers. By implementing its own HRS4R, IOC PAS aims to continuously improve the working conditions for its researchers in a process of quality-assured personnel management. This will help to enhance the attractiveness of pursuing a research career at our Institute. The Director, prof. Sławomir Jarosz adopted an Action Plan for implementing HRS4R at IOC PAS. IOC PAS is now committed to realizing the actions identified and to regularly assess the status of implementation. In November 2016, IOC PAS submitted its application for the HR Excellence in Research award to the European Commission. The award is granted to institutions which successfully carry out the HRS4R process and allows the easy recognition of institutions that are committed to:
- successful performance in generating, transferring, sharing and disseminating knowledge and technological development,
- a stimulating working environment that offers sufficient opportunity for professional development,
- fair and transparent recruitment.
Now we are waiting for review of our application with hope that it will be awarded the HR Excellence in Research logo.
