XXII CONFERENCE on ADVANCES
in Organic Synthesis

CONFERENCE ON ISOPRENOIDS)

Conferences on
Isoprenoids have been organized since the mid 1960’s as biannual
events, alternating between Poland and the Czech Republic. The
Conferences over many years became very popular and
well-attended.
In recent years we have noticed a growing interest in
our biannual Conference amongst fellow chemists working on
natural products chemistry. With great pleasure we officially
announce the broadening of our scientific program to include, in
addition to advances in chemistry of isoprenoids, also advances
in chemistry of other bioactive compounds such as alkaloids,
amino acids, low molecular weight carbohydrates, antibiotics
etc. Consequently, the new name of the Conference has been
adapted reflecting its orientation toward advances in organic
synthesis. The present format of the Conference is oriented
toward stereoselective synthesis of bioactive compounds and the
program includes both plenary and invited lectures, oral
communications as well as the poster session.
On behalf of the Organizing Committee I am
delighted to invite you to participate in our Conference. The
special invitation is extended to the admirers of our original
Conferences on Isoprenoids. The Conference will be organized in
collaboration with scientists from the Czech Republic and held
as a Pre-Symposium to the 16th EUROPEAN SYMPOSIUM ON
ORGANIC CHEMISTRY, Prague, the Czech Republic, from July the 12th
to the 16th, 2009.
