Research activity

X-Ray structure determination and analysis is a main tool in our research. The principal area of research involves studies of the solid state structure of organic compounds in relation to their biological, physical and chemical properties. Current research covers:

·         structure-activity studies of small bioactive peptide dendrimers

·         mechanism and stereoselectivity of solid-state inclusion processes (in cooperation with Prof. F. Toda of Okayama University, Japan)

·         crystal engineering for application in non-solvent  processes

Laboratory is equipped with automated four-circle diffractometer MACH3 with opportunity of data collection in the temperature range from 100 K to ambient. Laboratory provides custom measurements and/or expertise assistance in crystal structure determination for and outside of the Institute.
