This is a continuation of a meeting started in 2005 in Warszawa.

The aim of the Symposium is to provide a forum for discussion among NMR spectroscopists working in chemistry, physics, biology, medicine and related fields of research. The programme will cover all areas of nuclear magnetic resonance, including novel experimental applications as well as theoretical approaches for the structure analysis and other properties of organic and bioorganic systems.

We strongly encourage the young researchers to attend the Young Scientists Session, an integral part of our Symposium. We consider a participation of young NMR spectroscopists as the meeting’s greatest strength.

        The Conference on Isoprenoids is a biannual event, organized since mid1960 and alternating between Poland and Czech Republic. The Conferences over many years became very popular and well-attended venue. In recent years we have noticed the growing trend of increased interest in our biannual Conference amongst fellow chemists representing a broader general audience interested in the synthetic advances in natural products chemistry. With a great pleasure we officially announce the broadening of the our scientific program to include, in addition to the advances in chemistry of isoprenoids, also the advances in chemistry of other bioactive compounds such as alkaloids, aminoacids, low-molecular carbohydrates, antibiotics etc. The new format of Conference is oriented toward advances in the stereoselective synthesis of bioactive compounds and program includes both plenary and invited lectures, oral communications as well as the poster session. On behalf of the Organizing Committee I am delighted to invite you to participate in our Conference. Also, the special invitation is extended to the admirers of our original Isoprenoid Conferences.
        The Conference will be organized in collaboration with scientists from the Czech Republic and held as a Pre-Symposium to 16^th EUROPEAN SYMPOSIUM ON ORGANIC CHEMISTRY, Prague, Czech Republic, July, 12-17, 2009.
